Lights, Camera, the 12 man band and of course the man we all came to see! Mr. Mike Areumu.
Nigeria’s most prominent Afro – Jazz Saxophonist, adorned in his native style clothing and energetic vibes,Mr Mike stormed the stage with an electrifying opening piece; the audience were not shy in applauding the brilliance of his opening act.
Live at London’s famous Jazz café, the café  is London hip Jazz venue in time past has hosted some of the planets finest Independent and signed acts such as Del la Soul, Lee Scratch Perry and numerous others since 1990.

But Today (Monday 6thMay) the night belonged to Mr Aremu,
well attended by some of the most echoed names in the industry, such as producer Wole Oni, Dj Gosperalla and the prominent female saxophonist  Yolanda Brown.  Filled with supporters, friends and music lovers alike,the venue was filled to capacity. The last show by Mr Aremu and his electrifying band  in 2008 sold out, and its not difficult to see why.
It was straight down to business as Mr Aremu played tracks from his brand new album ‘Coat of many Colors’  , the album carries a  combination of energetic afro pop, soul, hip hop and even the vibrantly rich sounds of salsa, representing the diverse sounds of Afro gospel. The night was truly a brilliant evening,the band never fail in delivering authentic afro jazz sounds and likewise creating a tangible atmosphere of true praise and worship. It was obvious fans and supporters of the man and his music were left impressed and much lifted in the spirit.
